EW MUSIC CONCERTS was founded 

in 1971 by composer Norma Beecroft 
and flutist-composer Robert Aitken. Since its 
inaugural event in January 1972, NMC has 
presented over 450 works (the majority first 
hearings in Canada) most by the world’s 
leading composers, including Canadian.
